Please Young Ladies, Cover Your Buttocks (Low-waist trousers)

“Oh my God, what sort of temptation is this, please young lady, cover your buttocks. You are making me feel uncomfortable, exposing it.” “Oga what is your business with my ‘backside’; wetin your eye find go there, abeg no just disturb me again, unless both of us go put leg for the same trouser inside this bus.”
Funny enough, this exchange took place weekend inside a commercial bus which I boarded recently to Agege, Lagos, between a man in his late 50s and a young lady, assumed to be a student of one of the nation’s tertiary institutions in her mid-20s.
The mild drama started when the man unfortunately let his eyes catch a glimpse of the young lady’s exposed ‘bums’ (buttocks), as a result of the kind of pair of trousers she was putting on, I mean the popular “Low-waist trousers.”
Assuming the role of a father who would not want her children go astray, the man reprimanded the lady on the essence of not getting her body exposed. However, whether he did it in a friendly way or not, which mad…

Wada: Tried, Tested, Trusted, still the most preferred

He is a man who knows how to hold his own without vanity or flamboyance.

Capt Idris Wada, Kogi State Governor, is humble without servility, effective without showiness, brilliant without bullying.

An unobtrusive stalwart, selflessly serving for posterity, Wada's nearly three years of stewardship as governor when x-rayed against his efforts at transforming the state, is what many believe makes him still the most preferred in 2015.

Rivers APC Clears the Air Why Amaechi Dumped PDP

...Warns Blackmailers

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Rivers State has cleared the air on why the State Governor, Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi dumped the ‘tattered umbrella’ of the doomed Peoples Democratic Party, PDP and embraced the ‘revolutionary broom’ of APC despite having spoken negatively about the APC symbol in the past.

The party warned blackmailers who are so frightened by the high rise of the national political profile of Governor Amaechi and are desperate to bring him down by attempting to make a mountain out of a molehill to look for something better to do as Rivers people and, indeed, Nigerians are too politically advanced to be easily deceived by unserious minds that clutch at straws in their quest for political relevance.

I Believe Wike and Amaechi Are Working Together - Princewill

Before I go into the reasons why, let me start by congratulating the President for the best declaration I have ever seen in Nigeria. The organisation could have done with some improvements but the delivery and the content were amazing. For those who know me, they know I am usually very conservative in my marking. Even when my "friend from before" Amaechi was still close to me, the best score he got was a 6/10. On Tuesday the President got an 8. Nobody has ever extracted an 8 from me, even for a singular event. The President did that. In spite of the cowardly actions of the Boko Harm the day before, he didn't loose focus. He kept his eyes on the ball. A feat both them and the APC did not expect. Since the conclusion of that momentous event, many others have been singing his praises. So I will not attempt to occupy that space today, I will rather focus on my state.

I have always been suspicious of Wike and Amaechi, they always represented the old guard. The analog politicia…

I may not know much but one thing that I know is this: the spilling of innocent blood has terrible consequences for both the land on which it is spilt and for those that shed it. I am talking about long-term generational consequences.

This is the more so when that blood is the blood of children. Our girls are kidnapped from their schools, abducted, raped, married off and sold into slavery and we call ourselves blessed.

Stella Damasus has over the years been relevant in the movie industry, making the fans happy with her brilliant appearance in over 100 movies. Stella took time out at the induction into the Hall of Fame of some colleagues recently to speak of her aspirations personally and professionally. Excerpt below:
What do you remember anytime you are asked about your childhood? I had a very simple childhood. I was born in the former Bendel State now called Edo State. I grew up there with my parents after which we moved to Asaba for my schooling. There I started singing in studios, and then I switched over to bands. It was around that time I got my first movie role. That was almost 17 years ago. Ever since that time, there was no turning back and here I am today. Presently I am doing quite well. I am consistent though I might not be appearing in every movie that comes out. I have remained relevant in the scheme of things as far as the Nigerian entertainment industry is concerned. The past 17 years…
